Woodbury Thermal Imaging Inpections offer our customers an
opportunity to "see" what would otherwise be undetectable to the
human eye, using a FLIR (Forward Looking Infrared) camera to aid in the
inspection process.

What is thermal imaging?
Thermal imaging involves literally taking
a ‘heat image’ of an object by measuring
the amount of infrared radiation that the
object is emitting or absorbing. Thermal
imaging is a modern proactive approach
to equipment maintenance, building
inspection, and home inspections. We
scan the relevant components of a home or building using our state of
the art equipment. The resulting thermal imaging photos captured will
indicate whether any components are deficient.
Why is this Important?
It is a powerful non-contact tool used across a wide range of industries
and applications ranging from predictive maintenance of electrical/
mechanical equipment to product development and building envelope
inspection.

Thermography, or thermal imaging, is a
type of infrared imaging. A thermographer
takes and interprets IR images.
Thermographers are trained professionals
often carrying specific technical
certifications. Thermographers need to
be familiar with thermal dynamics, heat
transfer laws, and of the situations and
reasons why the temperature of objects
may vary, and how similar objects of similar temperature may appear to
have completely different temperatures to each other.
What is our Training?
Thermographic images can be difficult to measure and interpret
without proper training. At Woodbury Thermal Imaging, a
division of Woodbury Inspection Group Inc., our thermographers carry
an ITC level one Certification, a certification recognized as meeting ISO
9001* testing standards.
