New Construction Inspections
Many defects and problems found at inspections of older homes
were there since the house was constructed, and if it had been
inspected when first purchased, these problems could have been
corrected earlier.

Currently, trades people who provide the labor at building projects
have often not gone through formal apprentice training, are not
actual journeymen in their respective trades, and mistakes can be
made. Some developers, builders, contractors, and sub contractors
may also not be experienced, or they may implement cost cutting,
and "value engineering" methods to increase profits, and are not
thorough with quality control.
Good respectable developers and builders of new homes appreciate
home inspectors because we find defects or deficiencies overlooked
during the construction phase by contractors and their employees.

Ultimately with the help of a property inspector, builders are able to
improve their product, have fewer "call backs" after the close of the
transaction, and actually realize more profit. It is just as important to
have a thorough building inspection on new construction as it is on
older projects.
